What's new!

T-ball is in full swing (ha ha - get it..). Kole has a game every Tuesday and Thursday, and is doing much better this year than last year! Of course, he still is 5, although he runs faster, throws farther, and hits better, his attention span is about the same! I think T-ball is a little too slow moving for Kole - too much waiting and not enough moving!
But - he loves it, look at his cheesy grin as he runs!
Last weekend we took the boys to St. George - it was our first road trip with them... we all survived! Thanks to the DVD player and snacks, the boys handled the trip with a minimal amount of "when are we going to get there!"Denin's grandparents live in a suburb of St. George - the boys were so excited to see GG and G-pa (much easier to say than great grandma and grandpa, wouldn't you agree?). We didn't do much but visit and take the boys swimming. On Saturday we went to an awesome kids pizza place for lunch - think pirate themed Chuck E. Cheese, it was way cool! The place was called Pirate Island, I was told they were building one in the Provo/Orem area, not very close to us, but much closer than St. George!
And the other big kid...
...yes I realize it isn't a very becoming picture of me (and yes I have my hair extensions back!)
The boys with GG & G-Pa

On another note, Friday is the day, the "girls" are getting installed. I am trying to remind myself why I decided to do this - I don't have second thoughts, but I am nervous! So, even though I've been slacking on my posts lately, at least now I will have an excuse!!!

When did I become so...

Flaky, late, disorganized???? Some people might have other words to describe me, good or bad, but I just don't understand what I has happened to me!!!! Let me explain... As I was getting my out of town Mothers Day cards ready to be mailed (yes, I realize it's Thursday) I was looking for the most recent pictures of the boys to send in the cards, in my searching I looked through my stack of cards that I never gave out (birthday cards, bosses day card - I know...), and Mothers Day cards, 2 of them as a matter of fact, both to my friend Courtney. Her first Mothers Day was in 2007, I purchased a card, wrote a note in it, stuck the boys' Easter pictures in it, but never mailed it. So, in 2008, I purchased another card - never mailed that one either. Now in 2009 I have 3 Mothers Day cards for my best friend - I'm mailing all 3! They will be late, of course, but they will make it there - some friend am I.
At some point I have lost the ability to do it all, maybe I never could, but I at least I faked it. I am neurotic, obsessive compulsive (like most pharmacists), and organized, but it sure seem like it anymore (okay, except for the neurotic part). I thought with this job I could get more done because I'm out and about all day, but I don't. So now everything I have to do has to be done in the evenings or on the weekends, that's sounds like sufficient time right? Possibly, but after work I come home to my family - dinner, baths, bedtime, laundry, grocery shopping, household chores (thank goodness I pay someone to clean), sometimes work, I run out of time and energy to do the other things I need to do, although important, but if it doesn't whine, fuss, cry, or stink, it's easy to put off until tomorrow, but unfortunately tomorrow has different plans! I know there are many people that can do all of the above and more and not miss anything, but obviously, that is not me! So, for the things I have missed or been late on, it's not that I don't care, I just haven't developed my superwoman powers yet, and Courtney - thanks for being my friend, even when I'm 3 years late on your first Mothers Day card!

Oh where, oh where, did Jaime go?

Okay - it has been far too long since I have updated my blog. I have skipped Easter and everything since - sorry! In the recent weeks I have been to Chicago and Vegas - both for work, nothing fun unfortunately! I did get to have a few slices of Chicago pizza - I love pizza, and I love Chicago pizza! In fact, I can order the pizza and have it shipped to my home, for only $19... and $49 shipping!!!!! I will have to try it once though, just so Denin can try it (and I can have more).

Kole had his first t-ball game tonight, compared to last year, he has improved so much - what a difference a year makes! Last year he put his glove on his head, picked grass, sat down, ran slow between bases, pretty much everything but t-ball - but he loved it! This year he hits the ball further, runs faster, and is a little less distracted, and still loves it! He thinks he's pretty cool! This year his team is the Chicago Cubs, even though I'm a Diamondback fan - I can root for my Cubbie! I, of course, forgot my camera for tonight's game, but the next game is Thursday, so I have another opportunity to redeem myself!

Say Cheese!

I'm several postings behind - so I will start with the most important one... PICTURES! I finally made it to Kiddie Kandids for Kole's 5th birthday pictures and for Easter pictures. One thing to note - orange is not a good color for pictures!

Although the whole picture experience is much easier than when the boys were babies, each time we go we are presented with new challenges... Although Kole looks normal in this picture -we had to work hard to stop the squinted eyes cheeser grin! And Kamden, well, he does his own thing...

The boys have had their pictures taken so much, they pretend to take pictures of each other with their toy camera flip phones and they tell each other, "say cheese" and "say, Daddy has stinky feet!"

A "hairy" problem?!

3 times, by 3 different people, at 3 different places, my cute/handsome little Kamden has been called a her :( People, do you really think a little girl looks like that? Have you seen a girl with skateboard shoes, not wearing pink, no earrings/bows or other girly junk, and wearing a green and blue jacket?! Just because he does not have a clean cut haircut, does not mean HE is a girl! I have been debating cutting his hair for a while, but his hair is part of his personality. He is my surfer, beach bum (yes, I am aware we are no where near the beach), he is a little imp, a happy, mischievous, free spirit - his hair fits his personality, and he is NOT A GIRL! I don't know what to do! It is fun to make people feel dumb for being unobservant (I know, not nice to say - but I never claimed to be nice), but is his hair really that questionable???

Thank goodness it's Friday!

Did you know, I really don't like to fly???? Nope, I don't, not at all! Thursday morning, a snowy morning, my boss and I left for Vegas for a meeting, by the time our flight left, the skies had cleared and I felt fairly confident the hour flight to Vegas would be fine. Ha! I was sooooo wrong! It was very windy in Vegas, which made our approach very bumpy to say the least! Our plane tilted sideways, a little more than I liked, and when we finally landed, it was so hard, it sounded like the wheel broke off - it was only wind, but holy cow, by the time we landed I had done the math in my head to my amount of life insurance versus debts and was feeling a little on the green side! Leaving Vegas today, was much better - I asked the pilot how the wind was today, his reply "better than yesterday!" So, in my inexperienced opinion, and him not knowing I flew in yesterday, he must have experienced the winds as well, and it must have been a rough day! Aside, from the flights - I am totally mesmerized by Las Vegas! I didn't do much but work, and see the inside of the Monte Carlo (I didn't dare venture out onto the strip by myself), but I would love to go back for a vacation! The last time I was on the Las Vegas strip was August 2000, when Denin, my mom, and I stopped there after apartment hunting in Phoenix (I was there last fall, but again, it was for work) - I think it has changed... a lot!

The "In-Thing"

I did something I vowed I would never do - it ranks right up there with Harry Potter... You see, I detest things that are popular, and I vow not to be a part of anything like that (for example, Harry Potter), but my curiosity got the best of me. Denin had me watch Twilight with him... I loved the movie and am about two-thirds the way through the 1st book in 2 days - but I love it. I have to be difficult, although my ban on the "in-thing" means nothing to anyone but myself, I still have to say "No" to Harry Potter!

The boys have been sick, I have been sick... But it all lasted a day each, and we all survived! Nothing major, just a minor inconvience in the Peterson household! The boys are back to their usual selves already, and I hope Denin does not get sick, especially when I'm away in Vegas!

Of course, my mom, made a comment that I should update my blog to Easter theme while she is on vacation - some of us (that would be me) cannot do this at work, so I am bound to be slow (besides, I have to balance blog time with on-line shopping)!!!!!!! :)
