Our baby girl finally made her appearance on June 5th. She was born at 7:19am, weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. She was born on what would have been my grandpa's 100th birthday and is named after her grandmas - Jyllian Lori Peterson. I think she is beautiful and perfect!
She was the most difficult of the 3 coming in to the world. I was scheduled to be induced at 8pm on 6/4, they couldn't start the drugs until after my doctor came in and broke my water because they couldn't monitor her for 20 minutes - she moved around too much! They put an internal monitor on her head and we were good to go! I lasted maybe an hour and a half before I got my epidural, I'm a weenie, but why tough it out?! Of course, she had to remain difficult through the night. Her heart rate would drop so we would have to have me move positions, luckily that did the trick. A little before 5:00am I was ready to push. Yes - that was over two hours of pushing. Although my labor wasn't all that long, it was long for me, but in the end I got my beautiful little girl.
The boys are absolutely fascinated with their new baby sister. They love to give her kisses and tickle her - although cute, they aren't the most gentle (but they try). They are also very curious. They were amazed by her umbilical cord, and each had to investigate their belly buttons. Kole asked my mom if she saw Jyllian come out of my tummy, that discussion ended up with Kole admitting he thought she came out of my bum crack - we will leave that one be, for now. Kamden is curious by all her small parts - small eyes, nose, bum, etc. He noticed her "parts" were different than his, he thinks her "parts" still have to come out... We have had many interesting conversations, and she is only 3 days old! They will be great big brothers!
