A "hairy" problem?!

3 times, by 3 different people, at 3 different places, my cute/handsome little Kamden has been called a her :( People, do you really think a little girl looks like that? Have you seen a girl with skateboard shoes, not wearing pink, no earrings/bows or other girly junk, and wearing a green and blue jacket?! Just because he does not have a clean cut haircut, does not mean HE is a girl! I have been debating cutting his hair for a while, but his hair is part of his personality. He is my surfer, beach bum (yes, I am aware we are no where near the beach), he is a little imp, a happy, mischievous, free spirit - his hair fits his personality, and he is NOT A GIRL! I don't know what to do! It is fun to make people feel dumb for being unobservant (I know, not nice to say - but I never claimed to be nice), but is his hair really that questionable???

Thank goodness it's Friday!

Did you know, I really don't like to fly???? Nope, I don't, not at all! Thursday morning, a snowy morning, my boss and I left for Vegas for a meeting, by the time our flight left, the skies had cleared and I felt fairly confident the hour flight to Vegas would be fine. Ha! I was sooooo wrong! It was very windy in Vegas, which made our approach very bumpy to say the least! Our plane tilted sideways, a little more than I liked, and when we finally landed, it was so hard, it sounded like the wheel broke off - it was only wind, but holy cow, by the time we landed I had done the math in my head to my amount of life insurance versus debts and was feeling a little on the green side! Leaving Vegas today, was much better - I asked the pilot how the wind was today, his reply "better than yesterday!" So, in my inexperienced opinion, and him not knowing I flew in yesterday, he must have experienced the winds as well, and it must have been a rough day! Aside, from the flights - I am totally mesmerized by Las Vegas! I didn't do much but work, and see the inside of the Monte Carlo (I didn't dare venture out onto the strip by myself), but I would love to go back for a vacation! The last time I was on the Las Vegas strip was August 2000, when Denin, my mom, and I stopped there after apartment hunting in Phoenix (I was there last fall, but again, it was for work) - I think it has changed... a lot!

The "In-Thing"

I did something I vowed I would never do - it ranks right up there with Harry Potter... You see, I detest things that are popular, and I vow not to be a part of anything like that (for example, Harry Potter), but my curiosity got the best of me. Denin had me watch Twilight with him... I loved the movie and am about two-thirds the way through the 1st book in 2 days - but I love it. I have to be difficult, although my ban on the "in-thing" means nothing to anyone but myself, I still have to say "No" to Harry Potter!

The boys have been sick, I have been sick... But it all lasted a day each, and we all survived! Nothing major, just a minor inconvience in the Peterson household! The boys are back to their usual selves already, and I hope Denin does not get sick, especially when I'm away in Vegas!

Of course, my mom, made a comment that I should update my blog to Easter theme while she is on vacation - some of us (that would be me) cannot do this at work, so I am bound to be slow (besides, I have to balance blog time with on-line shopping)!!!!!!! :)

"Stuff"

I know I've been quiet in the blogging world lately - I will make up for it today...

Technology is the greatest - sometimes! Yesterday we finally were able to talk to Denin's sister in Germany via webcams - why we didn't think about this sooner who knows, but after a year of Tiffany and the family in Germany we got to see her and her husband! I hid to the side of the computer, while Denin was easily amused by his image - even the boys got used to talking to Aunt Tiffany. Now our only challenge is working around the 7 hour time difference! Charli & Treyson from Germany - we miss you!

This week I have no where to go - I'm home for a full week (and it's wonderful)! Last Friday I took the day off from work, for the start of my vanity transformations! I started with my left leg - I was beginning to feel I was going to turn in to a road map of the US (okay - it wasn't that bad, but I'm only 31). So with the assistance of some heavy drugs, I had one vein in my leg "lasered' and lots of little injections to get the surface veins, it really wasn't that fun, but I survived and try to keep the complaints to a minimum (I said I try, I never said I was successful). This is only the start of my master plan... :)

Saturday, my mom and I took the boys, along with my Aunt Cheryl and her grandson Kyler, went to Disney on Ice. The boys did really well, I possibly should have packed a flask... They loved watching the Disney characters, I very concerned about the boys/men that skate around in those tight outfits - it's a little creepy!

Yes, the boys did new light-up toys, thanks Grammy! We will see how long these last!

Happy Birthday Kole!

5 years ago our first little boy was born... 5 years have passed since this 5 pound bundle of joy entered our lives. He looked so sweet, peaceful and innocent...

Now, 5 years later, is a 43 pound bundle of energy - sometimes sweet, rarely peaceful, and I would hardly call him innocent...

Today was Kole's 5th birthday, we had a family party at home, complete with pizza, cake and ice cream. This years theme was Kung Fu Panda - Kole was the bad guy, Kam was the good guy!

Kole got clothes, lots of Transformers, games, turbo blaster squirt guns, an iPod shuffle (for his Jonas Brother & Camp Rock fascination), and golf clubs. The golf clubs were the hit! He always talks about going golfing like Daddy and Uncle Jar-Jar, now he will have the opportunity! We took the clubs out into the back yard - the boys had fun hitting balls (the boys I am referring to are my Dad, Denin, & Jared) and so did Kole, Kamden and their cousins! Too bad it is supposed to snow tomorrow!

Look how stinkin' cute!

My friend Courtney in Arizona had her baby. He was born March 4th at 12:11 pm. His name is Zane Rylan Morales, and he is so cute! Mom and baby are doing well! Congratulations to Courtney, Jim, & Caden on your new addition - now you have 2 boys, GOOD LUCK! We love you!

My Travels

I have been traveling a lot lately. Every week in February I was somewhere - Rock Springs,WY/Vernal, Elko, NV, Phoenix, Vernal, Vernal again, and then on Monday Vernal yet again. Vernal is about 3.5 hours from our home, and it is not a pretty place! A Walgreens is opening up in Vernal - that is why I get to go there... The town is dirty, many of the people (both men and women) are missing teeth, from what I have experienced, the locals are just rude, and the only chain restaurant is a Wingers but there is every fast food chain imaginable. Vernal is where dinosaurs roamed, and home of a rather large T-Rex on Main street. This is no ordinary T-Rex - it gets dressed up for the holidays...
The ears, Easter basket, & teeth are lit for your evening enjoyment. Very strange!
